Simeon gives you a team of AI agents that work in your apps on computers of their own. To do that, it handles your messages, your files and the accounts you connect. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are and what this covers

Simeon is made by Spaire, Inc. (“Spaire”, “we”, “us”). This policy covers the personal information we handle when you use Simeon’s apps for Mac, Windows and iPhone, the agents you create and the cloud computers they work on, our website at simeonlabs.com and the web app at app.simeonlabs.com (together, the “Services”). For this information, Spaire is the “controller”, the company responsible for it.

This policy does not cover the apps and services you connect to Simeon, such as your email or calendar provider. Their own privacy policies apply to what they do with your information.

2. What we collect

What you give us

  • Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, your email address and, from Google, your profile picture. We also keep the name you choose to be called.
  • Your content. What you send your agents and what they send back: messages, files, pictures, voice, instructions and routines, and the names, jobs, pictures and settings you give your agents.
  • Memory. What your agents note about you and your work so they do not need to ask again, such as your role, your preferences, the people you work with and the decisions you made. They do not note passwords or other secrets.
  • Payment information. Your plan, credits and billing history. Card details are collected and kept by our payment processor; we do not store your card number.
  • Credentials Store. The logins (a website, a username and a password) and the contact details you save in Settings for your agents to sign in and sign up with, and the logins your agents save when they sign you up somewhere. We keep them encrypted, and your agents use them only to type them into the sites they are for. Your agents see your logins and contact details to use them, so what an agent reads of them is sent to the AI provider with the rest of the task. Cards are not kept there.
  • Messages to us. What you write when you contact support or send feedback in the app.

What your agents handle for you

  • Connected apps. When you connect an app, we receive a credential for it, and your agents read and write what a task needs there, such as emails, events, documents, contacts or records. They can reach only what you allowed on the app’s own sign-in page.
  • Purchases and bank accounts. If you connect Link, Stripe’s wallet, your agents can ask Link for a one-time card to pay for something you asked them to buy. Link asks you to approve every purchase in its own app, and the card is typed into the shop’s page on the agent’s computer without being shown to the agent. Your agents can also read the bank and card accounts you chose to share with Link: the institution, the account type and last digits, balances and transactions. Your Link sign-in is kept on your agents’ cloud computer.
  • Agents’ computers. Each agent’s cloud computer holds the files it works on, its downloads and browser history, the websites it or you have signed in to on it, and keys you have given an agent for a task. Agents take pictures of their own screens to see what they are doing.
  • Your Mac or PC. If you let an agent work on your Mac or Windows PC, it runs the commands you allow there and reads the files they need.
  • Voice. When you call an agent, your voice is streamed to our voice provider to turn it into text, and the agent’s reply is turned into speech. We do not record the audio. The call’s transcript and a short summary are kept in the agent’s chat. When you dictate on a Mac or a Windows PC, the recording is sent to an AI provider to turn it into text; on iPhone, dictation is turned into text on your phone when the phone supports it.
  • Channels. If you connect a channel such as Discord or Slack, your agents receive and send messages there with the bot you set up.
  • Sharing. If you share an agent or a chat with someone, we keep the names and pictures needed to show it to both of you, and pass messages between you.

What we collect automatically

  • Device and usage information. Your app version and device type, your IP address, the time of your requests, how much your agents work and with which AI model, and error reports.
  • Notifications. If you allow notifications, the token Apple gives us to send them to your device.
  • Cookies and analytics on the web. See Cookies and analytics.

3. How we use it

  • To run Simeon for you: to create and run your agents, carry out the tasks and routines you give them, run their cloud computers, connect your apps, keep your chats and memory, and send you notifications.
  • To keep it safe: to sign you in, protect accounts, limit abuse, investigate problems and security incidents, and enforce our Terms.
  • To support you: to answer your questions and fix problems, which may include looking at the part of your account a problem concerns, with your permission where we need it.
  • To bill you: to manage your trial, plan, credits and payments.
  • To improve Simeon: to understand reliability, speed, cost and which features are used, from usage counts, error reports and analytics.
  • To talk to you: to send you messages about your account, security and changes to our terms, and, if you agree, news about Simeon, which you can turn off at any time.
  • To meet legal duties: to comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you for anyone else.

4. AI models and training

Your agents think with large language models from AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. To answer you and do a task, we send the relevant part of your content to one of them: your messages, the agent’s instructions and memory, what it read in your apps or on the web (including, if you connect Link, the balances and transactions it read to answer you), and pictures of its screen. The provider processes it to produce a response.

We never use your content to train AI models. We use these providers’ services for businesses, under terms that do not allow them to train their models on what we send. They may keep it for a limited time, usually no more than 30 days, to detect and prevent abuse, unless the law requires otherwise.

5. Connected apps

You choose which apps to connect, and you grant access on each app’s own sign-in page. Your agents use that access only for the tasks you give them. You can disconnect an app at any time in Simeon, and you can also revoke Simeon’s access in the app itself. When you disconnect an app in Simeon, we delete the credential we held for it.

Information from your bank and card accounts, read through Link, is used only to answer you and do the tasks you ask, such as adding up your spending or suggesting a budget. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models. It is shared only with the service providers that help us answer you, as described below, such as the AI providers that read it to write the answer. What an agent read becomes part of that chat, and is kept and deleted with it. You can stop it at any time by disconnecting Link in Simeon or in the Link app.

Simeon’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use data from Google services only to provide the features you use in Simeon; we do not use it for advertising; we do not use it to train AI models; we do not sell it; and no person at Spaire reads it unless you ask us to (for example for support), it is needed for security or to comply with the law, or it has been aggregated and anonymised.

6. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as described here.

Providers that help us run Simeon

We use other companies to host and operate the Services. They process personal information for us, under terms that require them to protect it and to use it only to provide their service to us.

What they doWhat they receive
Cloud hosting, databases, file storage and the agents’ cloud computersThe information described in this policy, stored and processed for us
AI modelsThe parts of your content needed to answer you and do a task, including dictation and the pictures your agents make
Voice callsYour voice during a call, the agent’s instructions for the call and recent messages of the chat; the transcript and summary of the call
App connectionsThe credentials of the apps you connect through us, and what a task sends to or reads from them
PaymentsYour billing details, payment history and usage of credits
NotificationsYour device’s notification token, the agent’s name and the start of its message, through Apple’s notification service
Analytics and error monitoring on the web appPages visited, device and browser information, your email if you are signed in, and error reports
Services an agent uses for a taskWhat the task needs, for example a web search, or a flight search with the places, dates and number of travellers you asked about

People and services you choose

When you ask an agent to email, message, call, book or post something, it shares what you asked it to with the people and services involved. When an agent buys something for you through Link, Stripe receives the purchase it asks you to approve (the shop, the items and the amount), and the shop receives your order and the one-time card, under their own terms and privacy policies. When you share an agent or a chat with someone, or connect a channel, they see what you share.

For legal reasons

We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that the law requires it, or that it is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or Spaire. Where we can, we will tell you before we disclose your information in response to a legal demand.

If our business changes hands

If Spaire is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of it, and this policy will continue to apply to it.

7. Where we store it

Your information is stored and processed in the United States and in the European Union, by us and by the providers above. When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland to a country without equivalent protection, we rely on safeguards the law recognises, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. How we protect it

We encrypt the connections between your devices and our servers, keep each customer’s agents and cloud computers separate from every other customer’s, keep the credentials of your connected apps only for your account, and limit our staff’s access to what their work requires.

No system is perfectly secure, and AI agents bring risks of their own: a website, email or document an agent reads can contain instructions meant to mislead it, and an agent can act on them. Check what your agents do, and tell us at [email protected] if you find a security problem.

9. How long we keep it

  • While your account is open, we keep your account information, chats, memory, routines, files and agents’ computers so your agents can keep working, unless you delete them sooner.
  • When you delete something, such as a chat, an agent or a connected app, we remove it from the Services.
  • When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account information, chats, memory, routines, the Credentials Store and agents’ computers, and ask the providers above to delete what they hold for you, within 30 days. Copies in backups are deleted as the backups expire.
  • Logs and error reports are kept for a limited time, unless we need them longer to investigate a security incident.
  • Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

We may keep information longer when the law requires it, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements.

10. Your choices and rights

  • Change and delete. You can rename and delete your agents and chats in the app, and ask an agent to forget something it noted.
  • Disconnect. You can disconnect any app or channel at any time.
  • Delete your account. In the Simeon app, open Settings and choose Delete Account, or email us from the address of your account. We delete it as described in How long we keep it.
  • Get a copy. You can ask us for a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Emails. You can unsubscribe from news about Simeon with the link in each email. We will still send you messages about your account.
  • Notifications and microphone. You can turn them off in your device’s settings.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent you gave. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will confirm your identity, usually from the email of your account, and answer within the time the law sets, normally within 30 days. You may also have someone you authorise make a request for you. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

11. Where you live

The European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland

We rely on these legal bases: performing our contract with you, to provide the Services and do what you ask your agents to do; our legitimate interests, to keep the Services secure, prevent abuse, support you and improve Simeon, which we balance against your rights; your consent, for optional things such as analytics cookies and news emails, which you can withdraw at any time; and our legal obligations. You have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

United States

If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have the rights described in Your choices and rights. In the last 12 months we collected the categories of information described in What we collect: identifiers (such as your name, email address and IP address), commercial information (your plan and payments), internet and device activity, audio (your voice during calls and dictation, while it is processed), the content of your messages and files, and the notes in your agents’ memory. We collected them from you, your devices, and the services you connected, for the purposes in How we use it, and disclosed them for business purposes to the categories of providers in Who we share it with. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we use sensitive personal information only to provide the Services you asked for.

12. Children

Simeon is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

13. Cookies and analytics

Our website at simeonlabs.com sets no cookies and uses no analytics. It loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to send them, and its host keeps standard server logs.

The web app at app.simeonlabs.com uses cookies:

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Simeon changes. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
